Congratulations to the Holy Cows 4-H club for participating in the National 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl Competition held in Louisville, Kentucky in November! The team placed seventh overall! Way To Go!

4-H TIME
Now is the time to re-enroll in 4-H! Are you interested in joining a club? Do you want to organize a club in your neighborhood? Do you have a skill or talent to share with a group of YOUTH?
4-H is for youth 5 - 19 years of age. Through 4-H club work, youth learn to work together, make good decisions, take responsibility and develop citizenship and leadership skills.
We have a listing of clubs and activities that might interest you!
Give us a call, we will work with you to help you or your family access our dynamic program. Our number is 336-318-6000. We are located at 112 W. Walker Avenue, Asheboro. We are located int he lower level of the Daymark Recovery Center building.

STATE 4-H POULTRY SHOW
Congratulations to Preston Long for showing the reserve grand
champion hen in the Gobblers division at the North Carolina State Fair!
4-H LOCK-IN FUN
4-H members enjoyed an overnight Lock-In at the Asheboro Randolph YMCA! We enjoyed swimming, racquetball, basketball, air hockey, Wii, pool, and so much more. Thanks to the YMCA for their hospitality!
Dairy Show Review
The 67th Annual Junior Dairy Show was held in conjunction with the Asheboro Fall Festival the first weekend of October. The following 4-H members participated:

Archdale 4-H - Summer Adventures in Pictures
The 4-H Summer Adventure program coordinated by Brenda Eurillo continues to provide educational and recreational adventures for youth in the Archdale area.

Beef Industry Tour
The North Carolina Cattlemen's Youth Beef Industry Tour is just around the corner. This great event is designed for youth in High School ages 14-19 or College up to 21. This event will be held August 5th-8th, and will be based in Raleigh.
This event allows youth to travel across North Carolina and learn about all facets of the Beef Industry. Youth are not required to have any previous knowledge or experience regarding beef cattle to participate with this event.
